Sounds of nature is such fascinating music.
But the most captivating music are the sounds of everyday life,
The voices of people u love,saying things you love to hear… Music is in my life,
More than in the vibrations of my beloved cello, it reverberates in my heart & soul.

Best Friends are Forever… because

They are 2 people who exist in the same spectrum of this world

sometimes apart, sometimes together but always one in heart.

They sense what’s most important,

what matters most beyond the naked eye.

They talk by looking at each other

& telepathy does the rest.

My horoscope on Friendster today stated that I should "Visualize the future" & "imagine exactly what you want"… so here goes…

In the future, I want…

a) a husband I love more than anything else in the world, & who loves me more than anything else in the world.

b) children who will love me unconditionally and want to share with me every part of their lives even after they’re grown up.

c) to make movies that touch people & make them cry.

d) to create movies that let those making it remember the process forever.

e) to win an award for doing something extraordinary.

f) to have a cosy haven for me and my family, a place called home.

g) to be able to provide for my mum and dad, give them a comfortable home & a relaxed lifestyle.

h) to stay in contact with all my friends & do whatever I can for them whenever they are in need.

i) to be able to help people in need, to volunteer and help make other people’s lives better.

j) to be able to contribute to saving the environment through promoting proper rubbish disposal in Singapore.

k) to be a successful opportunist.

l) to be a successful self educator of my children.

m) to be able to take those I love all over the world to discover new places, new experiences.

n) to look back at my life & know… I’ve Been There. Done It.

True love exists…

if u laugh at this 3 words when u read it

then maybe u should read on.

Truth is…

I’ve seen true love happen.

not on myself yet

but on the people around me who are important to me.

I’ve juz been to the wedding of the century

felt tears well up in my eyes

as a dear friend became the wife of the love of her life.

Only the power of love could have made

the whole audience tear

as those words were spoken.

I’ve seen true love in my homestay family

2 people so young

yet so in love with each other

they worked hard to make a family in a foreign land.

now they have a son

so cute I love him too…

I’ve seen true love in the companionship of my parents

how no matter how sick or how naughty my dad is

my mum will always be by his side.

whether they quarrel or they fight

mum will always prime the dialysis machine

n dad will always send her to work and bring her to class.

True love does exist.

At least it does to me.

It might take me a lifetime to find my true love.

but if one day I do find him

it will be worth it.

Even if I never manage to do that

the quest for true love itself would have been unforgettable.

N that would be what matters.

I’m glad…

I believe.

Do you know the strength of memories?

Memories have the power to freeze time…

No, not physically, but mentally.

But only when part of that memory is formed with someone

or something of great impact to your life.

Go walk somewhere familiar…

someplace you might have walked more than 10 times with 10 different people…

The first memory that comes to your mind of that place

might not be the latest walk with that latest person that took place

but it will be of that memory of most impact

whereby you walked with that person of most impact

at that point of time which you will never be able to forget.

We are all trapped in a web of memories.

As humans we are simply vulnerable to the uncommon memories.

So Places… form Memories… undermine Strength

Only when you’ve conquered places and can control the memories of those places will you find real strength to prevent your mental state from being frozen in that most impactful time & space.

With that gift of strength, one can move on.

Last year’s Valentines Day I was an idiot

this year I chose to tune it down

& use this day as a celebration of our friendship.

I just hope I brought some joy to some people’s lives

with the presents & the little notes

the smses & online greeting cards

which show I think about them from time to time

that I am thankful that they are in my life.

For all my dear friends, I just want you to know

I remember you in your own special way

To me, all of you are unique & different

but you are all part of who I am today.

大変嬉しいに違えない。
